Our Area of Montana

Big Horn Bed & Breakfast is just miles away from some of the best recreation in Montana. In the winter months, Discovery Ski Basin's over 40 runs offer something for every skill level, whether it be downhill skiing or snowboarding. There is also dozens of mountain trails providing excellent cross-country skiing. If snowmobiling is more to your liking, there is over 120 miles of groomed and maintained trails in the Philipsburg area.

When spring and summer arrives, so does several species of birds and wildlife. The Rock Creek area is home to big horn sheep, mountain goats, moose, elk, deer, eagles, and several other species. Join these wonderous creatures in the mountains by taking an exhilarating hike. Big Horn Bed & Breakfast is also just steps away from Rock Creek, a blue-ribbon trout fishing stream. Why not spend your day in the peaceful serenity of nature casting flies in hopes of landing a prize trout?

If recreation is not what you are looking for, relax with a good book in our sunroom. Rock Creek is also home to some of the most beautiful sapphires in the world. Philipsburg offers several places where people can pan for sapphires year round. Also take time to visit the Granite County Museum home to The Ghost Town Hall of Fame and a hard rock mining exhibit.

All this and more is within just 30 minutes of the Big Horn Bed & Breakfast on Rock Creek.
